NYC 2009

My beautiful mom and I waiting for everyone near the WTC site.
Dessert anyone? It all looks so pretty!
The view from our hotel window in Tribeca.
First church in Manhattan and it's Episcopalian. :)
Very beautiful on the inside
Outside the Stock Exchange
Michelle (Jack's girlfriend), Collin, Jack (behind Collin), me, Jenn (Collin's wife), cousin Doug(behind Jenn), and Kelly
This photo was taken right before we went into the Mets vs. Marlins. Mets won!!! woohoo! It was a great game!
First season at Citifield for the Mets. It's really nice!
Times Square
My two beautiful sisters, Kelly & Jenn, in Times Square our last night :)
My seester, Jenn and I spent a good part of our last day in Central Park with her friend Shanna. It was a gorgeous day. I'm now peeling from the sunburn I got, but I'd do it again :)
I had to be picked out of drawing to answer a question to get David Letterman tickets. My question was, " Dave has a friend named Rupert who has a business around the corner from his theater. What kind of business does Rupert have?" THE HELLO DELI!!!

I was very excited to see a taping of the David Letterman show. Even if his guest was Paris Hilton! UGH!

Jog-a-thon May 2009

TOMMY (really loves to run)
JOSH (silly running man)
CASSIE (who smiles when they run?)

My kids LOVE to run. I'm so happy about this, cause it's my least favorite form of exercise. Cassie and Josh each ran 10 laps and Tommy ran 11. They were running to earn enough money for a digital reader board for their school.

Cassie's haircut May 2009

Cassie loves to go with me when I get my hair colored. I went in May for my first blonde application of the summer. Cassie decided that she wanted to get her hair cut while we waited for the color to do its thing. So, here are the before, during and after photos of her haircut. I love it on her. Especially for summer :)

Easter 2009

We spent Easter day in Pomeroy with my parents. It was a very nice day. We went to church with Grammie and then had a nice, family dinner. The weather was beautiful. I love this time of year! This picture may not be that great cause it was taken with my phone, but it's all I had this year.

Tommy's Shiner-May 2009

So, I get a call from the school one day at work. It's the school nurse telling me that Tommy hada little accident and has a black eye. I immediately think," Oh no! He's gotten into his first fight! Who would touch my little boy? I'm going to have words with that kid's mother cause I'm sure my Tommy didn't/wouldn't start a fight, EVER!" Oh no. No fight. Well, maybe you could call a small bouncy ball a worthy opponent! Yes, he is my son. For those of you who know me, know that I am somewhat of a klutz and very accident prone. Seems that Tommy was bouncing his bouncy ball against the wall before school. Just as the bell rang, he decided to throw that bouncy ball against the ground just as hard as he could and he was bent over the area where he threw it (as hard as he could) and the dang thing ATTACKED him! Nice shiner, huh? I'm sorry, son. You may have your mother's klutzy, bad luck!

Pinewood Derby 2009

Joel Forrester is a good friend of our family who was so great and helped the boys make sure the wheels were put on correctly and that the cars weighed what they were supposed to. Joel doesn't have any boys, yet, so he was excited to help and the boys had a great time with him! THANKS JOEL!!!
Can you tell how Tommy felt about his car? The flames HAD to be on this car or the world might end! I really like how he put the weights on the top of the car this year. Tommy LOVES the pinewood derby!

Josh was so proud of his first pinewood derby car! He had a great time racing it and even won a few races!

We wouldn't have such great looking cars if it weren't for our wonderful friend, Pam, who did all the detail work on the cars. She is so talented and she overcompensates for the fact that the kids' mother has zero artistic ability! Thanks, Pam! We LOVE YOU :)

FINALLY! Random pictures from the last month or so

Rollerena :)
One night a month the kids' school has a roller skating night at the local skating hotspot (it's the only one in Richland). It's always lots of fun. Here are some pictures from that. The kids LOVE to go. It's fun for mommy to sit and watch and remember all the times she roller-skated (fell repeatedly) at the Rollaway in Lewiston. "Memories. . ."

Josh and his friend AJ

Cassie held onto the wall all night

Tommy may be showing off here a little bit and he's going the wrong way just so his mother can take a picture :)

BLUE AND GOLD! Tommy received 3 awards this year for his Webelos endeavors so far. He was given the Citizen, Science and Engineering Awards. He loves scouting and is doing really well! I see an Eagle Scout in our future! :)

The boys are sooooooooooooooo cool! We were at TARGET (the store that makes mommy happy) and they found these glasses. Begged me to buy them. Just couldn't do it!
